Steve Roberts - Managing Director & Camera Operator

As well as being the business owner, Steve has 20+ years experience as a lighting Camera Operator and is still very much in the field capturing content.

Steve has covered a number of events including football matches, car racing events such as British GT and travels across the world to cover Formula E, cycling’s Tour of Britain & Horse Racing. Don’t worry, he does more than just sport, broadcast credits include The One Show, Crimewatch Roadshow, Sunday Brunch & The Last Leg.

Fun fact: Steve enjoys retro gaming, so if you fancy challenging him on our Street Fighter arcade machine then don’t be shy and pop by the office! (Other arcade machines are also available!)

Tom Reece - Camera Operator

Tom joined Broadcast Cameras in 2020, having gained over 17+ years experience working as a Camera Operator. 12 of those years included working full time for Manchester United, following the first team, U23’s, Academy and Women’s Team around the world filming for the clubs huge fan base.

Covering a wide range of camera, lighting and sound operating working across press conferences, player interviews, player signings, pre season tours, live outside broadcast football matches, documentary making, podcasts and features.

Whilst at the football club, he frequently freelanced for a number of companies working as an RF Camera Operator for Manchester City first team matches, covering live Outside Broadcasts filming football for Sky Sports, Liverpool FC Reserves & Academy, as well as live Horse Racing, Formula E and British GT Racing. 

Away from filming Tom is a keen sports fan and enjoys watching football, boxing, MMA, cooking, bird watching and nature.

Adam Harrison - Camera Operator

Adam joined Broadcast Cameras in September 2021 having previously worked as a freelance camera assistant for 7 years & a kit technician for Lion Eyes TV from 2020 and is now a full time operator within the company.

His freelance work took him to a wide variety of jobs ranging from high end TV dramas to nation-wide commercials. Since joining Broadcast Cameras, he has worked on a large variety of productions both regional and international.

Being a lot smarter than he looks, he has complete familiarity with all of our kit and is always on hand to help with any technical issues any clients have – no matter how big or small. He also loves keeping an eye out for any up-coming releases and is happy to chat about anything you may be curious about.

Side note: The only thing Adam knows more about than our kit is Dinosaurs. Just don’t get him chatting about them or you’ll never hear the end of it!

Stephen Hurst - Camera Operator

Originally from the North East, Stephen joined Broadcast Cameras in August 2022, and brings over 15 years of experience working as a camera operator.

Most recently he worked for Liverpool Football Club for 8 years filming across all levels of the club and travelling across the world. Whilst at LFC, Stephen’s role including filming matches, training, sit-down interviews, news, documentaries and commercial content.

Stephen began by filming non-league football, and has a vast amount of experience in covering football matches, and a wide variety of other sports and live events. 

Amy Bacon - Production Coordinator

Amy comes from a background in production. Having starting her career in 2017, she gained experience in a wide range of productions such as; BBC broadcast, game shows, kids TV, Live Theatre trailers and EPK’s. She has experience in logisitical organisation of shoots as well as getting stuck in on set with the occasional prop making and handling thrown in for good measure. 

These days Amy will be in our office on hand to fulfil your requirements, whether that be booking kit, crew, quoting, invoicing or any production requests you may have. 

Outside the office Amy can be found flinging herself through the air, be it on an aerial hoop or climbing a wall. It’s a good job Amy’s job is desk based, because she wouldn’t sit down.

Chantel Haigh - Video Editor

A Yorkshire lass with a passion for all things digitally creative, Chantel has been working in the media industry since 2013 after falling in love with video editing working for the National Children’s Bureau.

Before joining us, Chantel spent over seven years running another production company, where she produced, directed, trained trainees, and more, all while focusing on her primary role as an editor. She was essentially the backbone of the business, managing projects from start to finish. Although she primarily concentrates on editing now, she still pitches in with production whenever she isn’t deeply engrossed in her editing work.

In her spare time, Chantel is a dedicated full-time mom to her furry child, Dexter (her dog!), and enjoys attending Comic Con and other conventions.

Bobbie Kopicka - Accounts

Joining the team in 2021, Bobbie manages the accounting side of our growing empire. Bobbie’s main job role is receiving and paying invoices from clients, managing anything finance that goes through the business on a day to day basis.

Bobbie enjoys football and a beer, she’s definitely the loudest of the bunch and that’s why we put her in the corner in the office ( not joking) 🙂
